Awais Shaikh

Awais is a co-founder of AWS Capital, responsible for overseeing all facets of the firm’s investment activities. Prior to co-founding AWS Capital he
deployed a strategic investment fund on behalf of the Alshaya Group.

Prior to Alshaya, Awais was a private equity investor with Harren EquityPartners and H.I.G. Capital in Miami, where focused on investing in
owner-operated companies in the lower middle market.  Awais sourced, executed and managed investments across multiple sectors including technology, services, industrials and consumer.  Awais worked closely with portfolio companies’ management teams in executing strategic operating plans,
add-on acquisitions, and other special projects. 
Awais started his career as a private equity investor at Parallel Investment Partners where he focused on the consumer sector.  Prior to Parallel, Awais started his career as an investment banker in the Leveraged Finance Group at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in New York.

Awais earned a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin. 

 

Worth Snyder

Worth is a co-founder of AWS Capital, responsible for overseeing all facets of the firm’s investment activities. Over his career Worth has completed over 15 platform acquisitions, representing over $700 million in revenue. He has served as CEO and interim CFO of multiple platform companies.

Prior to co-founding AWS Capital he was Managing Partner at Ridgeline Advisors. Worth has also worked at Parallel Investment Partners (an affiliated of Apax Partners) a middle market private equity fund in Dallas, Texas.

Mr. Snyder was an investment banker at Deutsche Bank in New York, where he participated in over $10 billion in financings in the industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, energy and services sectors. 

Mr. Snyder is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where he received a degree in economics and earned a Masters in Accounting from Southern Methodists University’s Cox School of Business.
